Doug Towler

For more than 20 years, Doug has been involved in real estate finance and development, including structured finance, land acquisition and development, and asset management. He was a co-founder of a boutique financial advisory and asset management firm where he structured and managed the firm’s real estate investments, developments, and portfolio.

He managed the land planning and entitlement process for a multitude of projects including negotiating a development agreement for a 500 acre mixed-used development with 13 land owners, municipality, and department of transportation taking it through to final plat, 45 acre mixed-used development which included a PAD with over 1.2M SF of commercial space, retail, hotel, and 835 residential units, residential development which had to be rezoned to increase density and develop final plat, 150 acre PAD which included Cabela’s as the anchor tenant, 3 apartment complexes, and various out parcels, and other residential land developments.

He has completed several real estate workout assignments including a $268M residential high rise that was partially developed, a defunct time share operation in bankruptcy, and restructuring for many real estate loans.

Doug earned a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Idaho State University.
